Vineel Sompalli, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I.

Dr. Vineel Sompalli is the founder and president of Orlando Heart & Vascular Center. He is board certified in interventional cardiology and also specializes in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He previously practiced at AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida, where he held the position of chairman in the department of cardiology. He is now affiliated with Oviedo Medical Center in Oviedo, Florida.

Dr. Sompalli received his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Medwin Hospitals in India, as well as an additional residency at Michigan State University. He also completed two fellowships: one in cardiology at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois and another in interventional cardiology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Sompalli has been practicing for over 20 years and has performed more than 10,000 coronary and peripheral vascular procedures. He also has years of experience with techniques such as thoracotomy, AV node ablation, and pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, among other advanced cardiovascular interventions. In addition, he has spearheaded several important clinical trials that are geared toward improving intervention outcomes and overall cardiovascular health.

Dr. Sompalli is affiliated with the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Angiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He has also practiced in different states, including Georgia, Indiana, and New York. In addition to English, he is fluent in Telugu.

In 2020, Dr. Sompalli was named one of Orlando’s Doctors of the Year by Orlando Style Magazine.
